Crytum Lydian is a secondary troll in Vast Error. His associated alchemic sigil is Electrum.
He was first revealed in the February 24th Trollodex reveal, alongside Rypite Koldan. His bullet points were:
- a technological genius
- body is now 70% soda, 0% sleep
- just like one of his Repitonian animes!
Etymology
Crytum comes from a combination of the Latin words for gold and silver, chryseum and argentum. Lydian comes from the Lydians, the people of the Iron Age of Lydia, who were some of the first people to use gold and silver currency, tying back to Crytum's sigil, Electrum (an alloy of gold and silver).
Biography
Before Snowbound Blood
Prior to the events of Snowbound Blood, Crytum was in an abusive moiraillegiance with an unnamed troll. During a fight, his ex-moirail fell into the ocean and never resurfaced leaving Crytum unsure of his fate. After that event he began transitioning, gained an emotional support lusus and met The Boys. Aumtzi would later attempt to blackmail Crytum over his ex-moirail but was unsuccessful.
During Snowbound Blood
Crytum's skill with computers leads Secily to his apartment, beginning the events of his Snowbound Blood route. He tries to track Aumtzi's location by tracking his IP address, but only succeeds in doing so shortly before the start of Volume 11. During Necron and Secily's attempt to confront Aumtzi, he acts as their information handler under the codename 'Lettuce'.
During Vast Error
Crytum stays in contact with Necron and Oricka to keep track of the cultist's activities and the fallout of the Snowbound Blood case 
. When Necron discovers that the Harbingers of the Alpocalypse are planning an attack during Sestro's inauguration ceremony, he and The Boys race to Stronghold 21 to try and prevent the massacre. After the battle, they retreat to Eidolic Acres .
Personality and Traits
Crytum is a meek, polite troll with great interest in anime and videogames, particularly the show Revolutionary Girl Outena for inspiring him to fight back against his ex-moirail, and feels hurt when others look down on his interests. He is trying to move on from his abusive moiraillegiance, and when others ask if he is searching for another, he is annoyed at the assumption that he needs one. Crytum questions whether he's actually ever felt pale attraction towards anyone and expresses disinterest in finding another.
Relationships
Glomer Hicner
The two are matespirits. When Crytum first moved to the Stronghold he found himself lost and attempted to fill the emptiness with work and hobbies and he credits Glomer for being able to anchor him. In addition, both had previously troubled moirallegiances.
Sabine Berare
Sabine is Crytum's upstairs neighbor, a goldblood that tends to make a lot of racket and bother Crytum.

- Crytum and Rypite's trollodex entry was the first to be revealed with an additional comment: "[Not to criticize your investigative skills, Secily, but these two? Re a l l y ?]"
- His would-be classpect is Maid of Blood.
- He is canonically trans, as confirmed by the Vast Error official Tumblr.[1]
- He is also confirmed to be asexual as shown by a stack of objects arranged to look like the asexual flag on the shelf in his room, alongside a similar looking stack arranged to look like the transgender flag above them.
- He is 5'7.
- The third bullet point on Crytum's trollodex entry is a reference to Otacon's quote in Metal Gear Solid.
- He is canonically Autistic
