Serpaz Helilo, also known by her Skorpe handle, serpaz, is one of the trolls in Vast Error. Her associated alchemic sigil is Gold and she is the Witch of Doom. Her three horns all point outward from her head, with the central horn pointing frontwards. She is a deconstruction of the "Comedic Relief" fantroll archetype.

She was the tenth troll introduced and the fourth troll properly introduced in Act 2. She was also the seventh troll to enter the game.

Etymology
Serpaz, when translated from Kurdish, means 'the serpent'. Ser paz is Spanish for "to be peace". Helilo, when translated from Estonian, means 'soundtrack'. It could also come from 'helio', the Greek word for sun, since in alchemy the Sun is heavily linked with gold.

Biography
Six Sweeps
Serpaz was once the kismesis of Calder Kerian, and was evidently a positive fixture in the sea-dweller's life. However, at some point, the two ended their relationship. Some time after this, she was accidentally shot in the leg by Laivan during one of his hunting excursions. The incident would change Serpaz's life forever, as it would lead her to be permanently disabled, but also lead her to meet the love of her life. She was also somehow acquainted with Arcjec during this time, and notably knew him prior to the event that led to his current depressive demeanor.

Pre-Game
After her introduction and playing the accordian, she is suddenly messaged by Edolon Vryche, who claims to want to help her. Serpaz declines. Soon after this, she messages her friend Sova, and then Albion. After speaking to the two, she opens her front door to be greeted by Edolon, who she closes the door on. He manages to enter her hive regardless which makes Serpaz upset. She proceeds to shoot him with her nail gun, threatening to shoot him more if he doesn't leave. Edolon ends up picking Serpaz up and slamming her onto the ground, then shows her the damage the creatures have caused to her hive.

Serpaz is included in Arcjec's memo, but doesn't respond. This is likely because she was dealing with Edolon at the time.

Later on, we see the creatures have tied Serpaz to her wall as Edolon messages Albion through Serpaz's laptop. Serpaz manages to break free of The Creatures grasp, and equips a fire gun. After lighting her paragon repository with it and releasing her denizen, Edolon shows Serpaz her entry codes. These actions activate her entry portal.

Later, in "[S] Ellsee: Enter.", Serpaz is seen trying to fight off Edolon only to get distracted by her lusus, who was captured and bound by the creatures. Edolon takes advantage of her being distracted and pushes her into to her entry portal. He snarkly bids farewell to her as she's falling through with a distressed look.

During the game
Serpaz is shown going through her entry portal as well as being on her planet, however her platform has not been shown.

In a memo created by Arcjec, Serpaz tells everyone that when she had met her denizen it had begun laughing at her, which made her feel distraught at first. After a moment, though, she started laughing along with him. Serpaz also states that it seems 'Omenbeasts', a mythic creature on repiton (known as horses to the viewers), are very real on her planet. This implied her consorts are omenbeasts/horses, which is later confirmed. She also described her land as having "winding canyons."

Personality and Traits
Serpaz is a very upbeat and generally lighthearted troll even in the worst of situations. Her ecstatic and jokey nature carry her through most of her conversations, and she's amazing at improv banter. She's someone who believes mistakes can turn into miracles. While she's definitely a mostly positive influence, she doesn't seem to have an understanding of how negative emotions affect others, lacking empathy. Her mindset is infused with toxic positivity and she can easily make others uncomfortable as a result of this. Her inability to be empathetic is caused by her lusus, Lefty, who feeds on any and all negative emotions Serpaz experiences, keeping her constantly happy and preventing her from handling her own emotions.

She's a lover of stand up comedy, puns and all sorts of light-hearted tomfoolery. She considers herself a stand-up comedian on her own right, albeit one of middling quality. Among her favorite comedians are Troll Jerry Seinfeld, Troll John Mulaney, Troll Robin Williams, Troll Dave Chappelle and formerly; Troll Weird Al.

She's an aspiring architect and carpenter, constantly works towards outdoing her greatest project. However she tends to take a lot of breaks while working and has a habit of never finishing her ambitious projects because of how many ideas she has. Along with this she has a bad habit of accidentally hurting herself over and over again while on the job.

She is also an amateur accordion player but pretends to not enjoy it to reduce the temptation of playing it and cursing herself to a conversation with Edolon, who she obtained it from. Her lusus, Lefty, loves it though.

Relationships
Lefty
Serpaz is very fond of her Compecado lusus, and the two appear to be very close. Lefty was shown to be very protective of Serpaz when she was shot by Laivan and attempted to attack him and Mutt for hurting her.

Lefty sucks out any negative emotions Serpaz experiences, as shown after her first conversation with Edolon.

Laivan Ferroo
Laivan and Serpaz are matesprits and appear to be as close as two can be. The couple met two sweeps prior to the night of The Game, when Laivan accidentally shot Serpaz in the leg during a hunting excursion, which left Serpaz permanently unable to use that leg without a cane or brace. Apparently, they fell in love within the night due to this accident, the absurdity of which is something that does not elude them. Serpaz is evidently more comfortable with making light of the accident than Laivan is, for obvious reasons.

Calder Kerian
Calder and Serpaz were previously in a kismessitude. Prior to the end of their relationship, she used to push Calder to try new hobbies to get out of his own head. Calder still keeps pictures of Serpaz on the walls of his hive, as well as the model ship she gifted to him to have him make.

Sovara Amalie
Sova is an old friend of Serpaz and Laivan, but they seem to have fallen out of touch with her prior to the events of the Game. The couple appears to be quite fond of and protective of Sova, apparently having saved her from something in the past and have possibly played a part in helping Sova get her current lodgings and belongings.

Serpaz appears to be slightly closer to Sova than Laivan is, likely due to her outgoing and jovial personality compared to Laivan's more laidback and quiet nature. However, while well-meaning, Serpaz is pretty bad at advising Sova when she is dealing with her emotional hang-ups and trauma, due to her own outlook of dealing with sadness and pain.
Arcjec Voorat
Serpaz and Arcjec are acquainted and have known each other for at least two sweeps. She regards Arcjec as a sad troll, but that he wasn't so sad when she first met him. She is aware that Laivan continually attempts to get Arcjec to open up and speak to him.

Murrit Turkin
Serpaz and Murrit are implied to be friends. On Laivan's laptop background the hand in front of Serpaz and him is Murrit's, which means she is the one who took the photo. Along with this, Serpaz has Murrit's filler account linked through hers (and vice versa), which seems to be something trolls do for their important relationships and quadrants.
Edolon Vryche
Serpaz considers Edolon to be a nuisance and a creep, largely due to her distaste for the cult he follows on the account of how their vastly differing ideals on how to bring about laughter (Serpaz claims that they make liberal use of brainwashing to make people laugh). She finds his constant invitations to join his cult to be greatly annoying and wishes that he leave her alone.
Trivia
* 'pliable' means 'able to be molded or altered', and 'decadence' means 'moral or cultural decline characterized by overindulgence in pleasure or luxury'.
** This could be a reference to both her title as a Witch of Doom, or her association with the element of gold which is notably both extremely pliable as a metal, and an extremely valuable luxury item on Earth.
* The element gold is a central element in alchemy, having been considered by some to be the perfect element. It is the subject of numerous pursuits to artificially create it, most notably with the mythical philosopher's stone. In alchemical circles, it is commonly associated with the element lead, due to their similar densities, leading many to believe that lead was the perfect material to be used to create gold.
** This alchemical association with gold is brought up within Vast Error, specifically through Calder's Ancestor and Repiton's version of Winston Churchill: a yellow-blooded alchemist who had managed to turn his entire body into the rare element. He unfortunately accomplished this shortly before the element was made to be entirely obsolete and useless on Repiton, and left the alchemist in abject poverty and in horrible pain until his death, as he was unable to restore himself to his previous form.
* Serpaz's love of comedy and her association with the element of Gold may relate to the term "Comedy Gold".
* While Laivan is constantly out of glue, Serpaz is constantly burdened with an overabundance of it. She regularly wonders why Laivan never asks her for any.
** Serpaz may or may not enjoy eating glue.

* Serpaz is a Tealblood, a Derse dreamer and Hero of Doom, her true sign on Alternia would be Limini, Sign of the Abider.
* Serpaz's entrance resembles Arcjec's, as they were both pushed into their entry portal by an outside force against their will, with one hand outstretched, which the camera focused on.
*Serpaz runs a Filler account under the username topperflop.
*Serpaz and Laivan are the same height.
*Serpaz's favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.
*Regarding music genres, Serpaz enjoys 80s, novelty/parody/comedy, and ska.
**There's also a chart that Austin made sharing bands that Serpaz, Laivan, and Murrit all enjoy.
*She has a snort-laugh, as mentioned by Laivan in act 3 act 1

Occeus Coliad, also known by his Skorpe handle, occeus, is one of the trolls in Vast Error. His associated alchemical sigil is Sulfur and his horns are in the shape of small crowns.

Occeus is a deconstruction of the 'Mad Scientist' archetype, despite not seeming to truly fit the label. He has many references to 'Frankenstein' based on his character, the obvious example being the naming of his assistant, Rogi, which is simply 'Igor', the assistant to Victor Frankenstein, spelled backwards.

He was the eighth troll introduced and the second troll introduced in Act 2. He was also the tenth troll to enter the game.

Occeus also stars in his own route in Snowbound Blood, being the only troll of the main 12 to be featured in the Trollodex.

Etymology
Occeus likely comes from Oculus, the Latin word for eye, befitting of his mutation.

Coliad likely comes from Coliadinae, a subfamily of butterflies also known as sulphurs, which matches his alchemical sigil.

Biography
Early Life
Occeus’s life pre-game is fairly unknown. He is known to have had a Moirallegiance with Calder Kerian and a kismesissitude with Taz Poemme, both of which have been ended and the latter now being auspisticed by Albion Shukra.

However, it is vaguely known that when Occeus was 7 sweeps old he suffered from a major traumatic event which gave him Transmuted Epiphysis Cerebri (Third Eye). Soon after this Ellsee Raines found him and presumably passed her blood curse onto him in order to revive him, then taking care of him as he was recovering from the injury and adjusting to the side effects of his third eye. The revitalization seems to have been directly linked to Ellsee and Occeus's chemical bond.

Pre-game
Occeus is first seen contacting Ellsee in order to respond to days-old messages, they discuss a potential breakthrough in his work and the possibility of being able to be in contact more often as a result.

Occeus is next seen revitalizing a dead troll, which results in the subject returning to life as intelligent and hostile, shortly being terminated. He then leaves Rogi to dispose of the corpse and reads a set of panicked messages from Ellsee about her attempt to visit Arcjec and the group memo set up by Murrit. He becomes frustrated and distressed at the possibility of losing his work, contacting Calder for clarification only to be assured that the game is undeniably happening.

Occeus is included in Ellsee's memo but does not respond to it.

Occeus is later seen contacting Jentha in search of advice, to which she tells him to jump off a cliff. During this conversation, Occeus receives a video call from Hamifi Hekrix, informing him that his results have been dropping and that he will be dropped from Corporate payroll if the trend continues. Occeus then thanks Jentha for her support before ending the conversation, despite her being relatively hostile to his messages.

Occeus is then included in Arcjec's memo, which he does not respond to either.

Occeus later messages Sova seeking support once again, she is more friendly despite being in a fairly bad situation herself and they briefly converse over their feelings on the stressful day. When Sova mentions the homunculi outside her house, Occeus attempts to reassure her that she should ignore them as mere hallucinations before they part ways.

Finally, he is seen slumped down at his supercomputer while (presumably) suffering from visual hallucinations and static noise, meanwhile Calder pokes him with the Game's cursor and yells at him via messages. Calder then drags him outside to complete Occeus's game entry while his lusus Ouworm is eating the homunculi. This scene continues into [S] Ellsee: Enter wherein his entry codes are revealed in his hallucinations, producing an entry artifact reminiscent of a goat creature crucified on a cross. He cuts the artifact in half with his laser and it crashes into his hive. His portal is activated and he enters, still being forcefully dragged by Calder.

During the Game
Occeus's first appearance in the game is in the group memo at the beginning of Act 3 Act 1, in which he confirms his dismissal to Laivan and the end of their working relationship, briefly speaks with Ellsee, and puts forth the motion that the game could be meant as a fresh start for Reption and a way of "bring[ing] life itself back."

While Occeus's conversation with his denizen is not shown, it is referred to by Occeus in later messages to Ellsee. His denizen wasn't too fond of him, referring to him only as 'Prince' and calling him a "disruption" and "stagnant to the core", statement which later prompt Occeus to reflect in his monologue to Ellsee.

In said monologue, Occeus apologizes to her for their lack of contact recently, reflects on the events that occurred pre-game, reflects on the futility of his work, recalls his initial meeting with Ellsee, and his feelings of failure and misunderstanding in his relationships with everyone he has ever spoken so. In the end he resolves to reunite with Ellsee and apologies again, telling her he loves her before ending the chatlog. In the illustrations for these pages, Occeus is seen entering a manor on his planet, getting caught in a trap and fighting off a horde of enemies. Afterwards, he begins to visualize all of the people he knows as mannequins in a white void, he approaches, speaks to, and hugs the Ellsee mannequin, before noticing black droplets falling onto him. He then looks upwards to find Gaiaeon looking down on him.

Personality and traits
As a scientist and engineer, Occeus is characterized by his empirical outlook on life and how it works. He is ambitious, yet detached, and fiercely dedicated to his work, seeming to doubt himself outside of it.

He works towards the continued survival of his decaying planet and towards undoing the parasitic undead plague that ravages its population in the hope that he can return souls from a supposed entropy, and find the secret of untethered immortality. His visor is made specifically to cover up his third eye that formed after a major traumatic incident in his past. This third eye allows him to momentarily see into alternate dimensions, seeing vague figures and apparitions out of his peripheral vision. He sees more when he makes a conscious effort to contact the dimensions directly. He can also constantly hear the low buzzing of static in the back of his mind, but it doesn't bother him so long as he doesn't think about it. He states that stressful situations impact his condition.

Occeus states that he does not understand other people, nor does he feel that they understand him, feeling painfully aware of his inability to help people outside of his work as well as do anything aside from what he's been instructed to. This is likely due to him having autism but never being diagnosed with the condition, since Repitonians don't have terms for mental disorders or neurodivergencies.

Relationships
Rogi
Rogi is Occeus' assistant in his scientific pursuits. The creature was the result of one of Occeus' failed experiments, and is consequently unintelligent and largely useless as a result. However, Occeus doesn't seem to mind so much, and keeps the creature around to help with the grizzlier, more menial parts of his experiments, or perhaps because he appreciates the creature's company.

Due to the unnatural circumstances of Rogi's existence, Rogi's body is unable to maintain itself and requires regular injection of lime blood to continue existing.

Ellsee Raines
Ellsee and Occeus are matesprits, and unique to the other relationships in the cast aside from Murrit and Dismas and Serpaz and Laivan, have been bonded with one another.

Due to Occeus' workaholic nature and his desperation to preserve his planet, Occeus is unfortunately rather neglectful of Ellsee, leaving her to suffer from symptoms not unlike withdrawal in his absence (as is the case for Repitonian trolls who have been intimate with another and do not see each other for extended periods of time). Occeus regrets this, and realizes that Ellsee deserves better, but has nonetheless prioritized his work over her, until he was fired by Hamifi and entering the game, where he apologizes in monologue form.

In this monologue, Occeus references past events in which Ellsee breaks her code of conduct to save and care for him.

Ellsee often volunteers the use of her lime blood for Occeus to use in his biological experiments, due to the blood's unique life-bearing properties. Occeus is the only troll that Ellsee trusts with her blood.

He is incredibly protective of Ellsee, as evidenced in his Snowbound Blood route when he tells Secily when Secily confronts him about the vials of blood.

Calder Kerian
It has been shown that Occeus and Calder had a -- now-ended—pale relationship with one another. From Calder's account, it appears that Occeus abruptly ended their relationship and has been distant from Calder for some time. Calder is visibly bitter about it.

Taz Poemme
Taz occasionally fluctuates into the ashen quadrant with Occeus, with Albion acting as mediator. This would indicate some enmity between the two. The two appear to have been involved in a now-ended black relationship with one another. They are moderately hostile towards each other in the Act 3 Act 1 memo.

Albion Shukra
Due to the likely tumultuous relationship between Taz and Occeus, Albion is often pulled to act as mediator when they enter the ashen quadrant part-time. From their limited interactions in the Act 3 Act 1 opening memo, they do not appear to be particularly friendly nor unfriendly with each other.

Jentha Briati
Occeus seems to trust Jentha and believe she is a friend or at least good acquaintance. He ends up believing she's helped him before and that she would be willing to make time for him. In reality, Jentha doesn't seem to like Occeus and is intentionally cruel to him (telling him to jump off a cliff and that she doesn't care that he needs her aid).

Sova Amalie
Occeus similarly trusts Sova and considers her a friend, and Sova is friendly towards him in turn. They seem to confide in each other occasionally and offer words of reassurance when troubled.

Laivan Ferroo
Laivan and Occeus are work colleagues; Laivan stitches up corpses that Occeus finds for the sake of his revitalization experiments.

Trivia
* 'macabre' in his trolltag is a reference to his interest in most things relating to death, such as his reanimation experiments, his study of parasites, and his ultimate goal of trying to 'reanimate' the planet. 'Exude' could be a reference to his normal methods of injecting lime blood into corpses, due to its meaning of a slow and steady discharge. Altogether, the tag can refer to his disturbing presence as a whole.
* The '.o.' shape replacing any 'o's in his text is a reference to his three-eyed state, with the two periods being his regular eyes and the 'o' representing his third eye. This places more emphasis on his third eye as opposed to his two regular eyes which could be a way of showing how Occeus is neglecting the mundane things around him in favor of pursuing mysteries and his work.
* The pupil of his Third Eye bears a striking resemblance to that of Gaiaeon. It is unknown what exactly this means or if they share any sort of connection.
** This is in contrast to Ellsee's left eye, which looks like Kheparia's.
* Occeus constantly dealing with buzzing in the back of his mind, which he can tune out if he doesn't think about it, could potentially be a reference to Edgar Allen Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart.
* Occeus is a Prospit Dreamer, an Indigoblood and a Hero of Blood, meaning his extended zodiac sign would be: Sagicer, Sign of the Hostess.
* Occeus is the only one of the main 12 who doesn't have a Filler account.
*Occeus is canonically autistic, having been confirmed on Discord by creator Austinado and shows many symptoms of social difficulty in chatlogs and hyperfixation through his focus on work.
*He is canonically Autistic

She was first revealed in the February 11th Trollodex, alongside an unknown troll. Her bullet points were:
* never forgets a face
* you don't want to be on her list
* pessimistic duelist

Etymology
Secily is a variant of Cecily, a real-life name ultimately derived from Latin caecus (blind, dim-sighted). Iopara possibly comes from Iopara Inc., a wind turbine company.

Biography
Secily first met Ahlina Robiad, the woman who would become her bonded matesprit, when they were children. She recalls the memory of defending her from some bullies in Snowbound Blood: Volume Eight. Secily's desire to protect and make the world a better place for her childhood love was partially what spurred her to seek a career in the regulatory workforce.

Many sweeps later, as Secily was starting to become a notable regulator, Ahlina was kidnapped and killed after a ransom request sent to Corporate was not met. Secily was then assigned a TEMP, Mshiri Libeta, to help her deal with her grief and withdrawal symptoms. Though frowned upon due to their client-TEMP relationship, the two eventually entered a legitimate moirallegiance.

After she was promoted to Chief Regulator, one of the highest positions she could possibly have in the Corporate hierarchy, Secily was personally assigned by the Executive to be a guardian and mentor to the newly hatched Corporate heir, Sestro Enthal, and his future advisor, Hamifi Hekrix. The three would then go on to have a sort of familial relationship, strained over the sweeps by their respective positions and responsibilities within the company.

Secily was assigned to lead Operation Snowbound Blood, the investigation of the theft of a philter of the Vivifier's blood.

Following Operation Snowbound Blood, Secily was to protect Ellsee Raines and Arcjec Voorat and ensure their survival, per the Executive's request. This mission was off-record and her position as Chief Regulator would have been terminated. However, Secily was kidnapped by the Harbingers of the Alpocalypse and killed by Edolon Vryche before she could proceed.

Personality and traits
Secily tries to project cold, calculating authority and is quite cynical, harboring some pessimistic views on society and its inhabitants. She strives to keep an air of professionalism around her at all times and struggles whenever things aren't under her control, even as her inner thoughts expose that she can be quite humorous (and even silly) when the mood strikes.

She is an extremely guarded individual, although there are certain people with whom she is comfortable letting her armor slip—namely, Mshiri Libeta. At times, Secily also has trouble reading people's tones and facial expressions, which can lead her to assume foul play and hidden motives when there are none. When she feels threatened or upset, she can display quite the explosive temper. Secily tends to prefer working alone, and occasionally struggles doing so with others (although she is capable of it, like with Necron Exmort.)

Secily also has huge issues with loud environments, this is shown by her extreme discomfort at Bytcon Krypto's casino.

She is also an extremely by-the-book individual, finding comfort in rigid structures and routine and loyal to the Corporate institution to a fault—to her detriment and that of others'.Part of her rigid routine could include wearing the same outfit everyday, this is shown by her wearing the same coat, top and pants all throughout the game.

Her skills with technology and using computers are shown to be quite limited, and she will often defend more traditional methods of work, such as using a physical Trollodex as opposed to a numerical one.

Secily has a mutation which allows her to recall any face, event or information she has previously learned as she pleases. In Snowbound Blood's narration, this is likened to information being photocopied directly into her mind.

Relationships
Ahlina Robiad
Ahlina was, and in many ways still is, the most important person in Secily's life. Everything Secily does, she does for Ahlina's sake; whether it is to honor her memory or avenge her death.

She carries deep regret and guilt over not being able to save her.

Yeshin Laevis
Yeshin is Secily's kismesis. As such, she has a habit of getting under Secily's nerves.

Mshiri Libeta
Mshiri is Secily's moirail, though Secily harbors red feelings for Mshiri. Secily is only known to drop her quirk around Mshiri, who told her in their initial encounter not to play games with her (which led Secily to stop "playing a game" of chess with her quirk). The two met due to Mshiri, as a temporary meditation partner, being assigned to console Secily after the loss of her matesprit. Secily sees a lot of similarities between Mshiri and Ahlina, likely explaining Secily's feelings for her.

Mshiri knows Secily extremely well and can easily read her, despite her cold and guarded mannerisms with others.

Sestro Enthal & Hamifi Hekrix
Sestro and Hamifi are (two of) Secily's superiors. Sestro would like to engage in more casual and personal conversations with Secily if it weren't for Secily cutting him short. On the other hand, Hamifi is just as cold as Secily is when engaging in conversation, and doesn't waste even a sentence on anything other than Secily's direct task at hand.

Secily is mentioned to have practically raised the two, though Secily thinks of them strictly as employers for most of the game. However, when Secily learns that Sestro has entered a weakened state from overexerting himself, she's immediately concerned and questions Hamifi's decision not to call her about it. Hamifi soon after expresses that Secily taught Hamifi to not be sentimental nor trustful, but somewhat smiles when Secily admits that she does trust her. She's shown to have felt guilty about the way she raised Hamifi and Sestro in Volume 9 of Snowbound Blood, where she watches Hamifi play with children while in disguise.

Secily's relationship with Sestro and Hamifi becomes somewhat strained when she learns the truth behind her matesprit's death, despite their lack of actual involvement with the incident, but rather through association. After Secily's conversation with Gerbat, however, she commits to talking things out with Sestro to sort it out.

Oricka Rourst
Secily and Oricka are old friends. They met when Secily was assigned to protect Oricka after the latter got herself in trouble with an unspecified mob. Later on, Oricka would build Secily's visor and YVES. Oricka is very affectionate with her friend, cheering her up, attempting to provide first aid, and calling her a wide variety of nicknames, like oricka, oricka, and oricka.

Necron Exmort
Secily is introduced to Necron in Snowbound Blood: Volume Seven, after hearing about him from his matesprit Oricka and from Cadlys Rankor. Despite their contrasting personalities and Secily's initial doubts, they quickly agree to partner up to take down Noxious. Though initially careful to maintain professional distance, Secily quickly warms up to Necron, taking him with her to Valtel's mansion and to the Reduplication Caves. Necron, in turn, cares for and respects Secily deeply, calling her necron, and asking her for relationship advice.

Occeus Coliad & Ellsee Raines
Secily is tasked with investigating Occeus during the events of Snowbound Blood: Volume Five. At first Secily is suspicious about him and confronts him on hiding Ellsee from Corporate, but after he elaborates on how much he cares for her Secily decides to protect Ellsee instead, due to them reminding her of her relationship with Ahlina.

During Sabine's route, she is reminded of Occeus and wonders how they're both doing.

Husske Mayzee
By the end of Snowbound Blood: Volume 3, Secily refers to Husske and the other barn children as her kids. She's clearly fond of them, and they accept her too, since she can hear the static in the corn.

Trivia
* Her would-be classpect is Knight of Void.
* One of her Trollodex entry bullet points is a reference to Optimistic Duelist, a popular Homestuck theorist.
* Her lusus was a hummingbird moth, as implied in Oricka's route, when she states that she hadn't seen one since her lusus died. This was confirmed in the flashback in Sabine's route.
* She is canonically trans, as confirmed by the Vast Error official Tumblr. She is also canonically autistic.
* Secily's quirk contains a chess game that is as many moves long as she has prefixes and suffixes in a conversation with somebody. The result of the game reflects Secily's encounter with the person. In almost every instance, she has ended the game in a draw. She has only ended a conversation with a win twice. Once, a win for white (representing herself) when she kills a troll in Snowbound Blood's prologue. Then, a win for black (representing Edolon) when he kills her in Snowbound Blood: Volume Twelve. It can be assumed that wins represent the death of any involved party.
* She has some grey hair.
* Sabine gave her a middle name, Aletheia, which follows the 8-letter ancestor naming pattern.
** Sabine specifically mentioned this, saying she was old enough for an 8-letter title
**in volume 2, she is implied to be stimming on her way to meet Rypite Koldan
*She is around 6'2

Trivia
* One of her Trollodex entry bullet points is a reference to Optimistic Duelist, a popular Homestuck theorist.
Secily Iopara is a secondary troll in Vast Error and the main protagonist of Snowbound Blood. Her associated alchemic sigil is Talc.

She was first revealed in the February 11th Trollodex, alongside an unknown troll. Her bullet points were:
* never forgets a face
* you don't want to be on her list
* pessimistic duelist

She is also an extremely by-the-book individual, finding comfort in rigid structures and routine and loyal to the Corporate institution to a fault—to her detriment and that of others'.Part of her rigid routine could include wearing the same outfit everyday, this is showb by her wearing the same coat and top and pants all throughout the game.

Arcjec Voorat, also known by his Skorpe handle arcjec, is one of the trolls in Vast Error. His associated alchemic sigil is Magnesium, though a modified version of the symbol. They are a deconstruction of the "self insert" and "main character" fantroll archetypes.

Their survival ability is being able to play dead by slowing their metabolism down.

He was the first troll to be introduced and enter the game.

Biography
Early life
Arcjec was much more outgoing and enthusiastic in their youth, if somewhat naïve. Raised together and initially sharing the same lusii as Ellsee Raines, the two viewed each other as siblings and part of the same family. During this period of time, Arcjec was interested in comic books, superheroes and pop culture, as well as drawing, cosplaying and scrapbooking.

After a series of cascading events involving his falling out with Taz Poemme and Ellsee's extended leave for training, Arcjec fell into a deep period of apathy and resentment, pushing all of his friends away and retreating into himself. They also forgot about their relationship with Ellsee entirely, which resulted in anger and confusion on their end when she came back from her training.

He seems to have been the "glue" holding their friend group together, having been depicted throughout the comic engaging in many different activities with the great majority of the main cast.

Act 1
Arcjec is first introduced in his respiteblock. As he goes over his possessions, he is interrupted by a rock hitting his block's window. Choosing to investigate the strange occurrence, the sight of a hooded troll lurking near his hive sends him into a panic, during which he is messaged by Laivan Ferroo. Laivan invites them to play a game of Anthropormuncipality with him and Murrit Turkin, but Arcjec refuses, brushing his friend off, and requests that he let Taz know that arcjec in the event of their disappearance.

In an attempt to get a better look at the mysterious troll, Arcjec ends up falling out their second-floor window, landing on a mud puddle outside and passing out. They have a cryptic dream in which they stand in the middle of the Static, briefly glimpsing White Noise before they jolt awake.

During their short nap, Laivan's dream self visits Arcjec's own dream self, still asleep on Prospit. It glitches out, momentarily reverting to a happier, younger Arcjec when Laivan touches him.

After waking up, Arcjec finds himself back inside his room. Surrounding him are the many piles of scattered drawings he makes in his sleep, something that has been a regular occurrence for some time. The newest one has The Game's symbol drawn on it, along with a message: "It's the only way."

They are then accosted by an agitated Taz, who manages to convince Arcjec to collaborate by showing them Murrit's memo and the meteor hurtling towards their hive. After a few spats, Arcjec realizes that the symbols they've been writing in their sleep are connected to the game, which they encourage Taz to input on her end. This grants her access to a set of objects, and the duo has one final fraught conversation about their past before they decide it's better if they do not speak again once Arcjec's entry is complete.

During the events of , Taz places a series of pillars and an archway around his hive, along with a mysterious chest inside his respiteblock. Arcjec opens the chest, unleashing a powerful gust of wind that sends him hurtling out of his room. He stops right in front of the archway, now activated into a portal. Taz then pushes Arcjec inside it with the Game cursor, sending him into the Medium and completing his entry process. The pillars around Arcjec's hive divert the oncoming meteor away and into Skaia's shield, preventing the hive's complete destruction.

Act 2
From the past perspective of Ellsee Raines, Arcjec is shown having a conversation with her moments before the start of Act 1. She worries that she is needy and unlikable, and he offers a half-hearted attempt at advice. Amused but nonetheless touched, Ellsee decides that they will finally introduce themself to Arcjec and explain their deeper connection. It's then revealed that she was the mysterious troll that threw a stone at Arcjec's window.

Back to the present, Arcjec lands on a gray platform inscribed with the Breath symbol, floating in a blank, stark white void. The powerful winds seen during Arcjec's entry then transform into the denizen of Breath, Zehanpuryu.

Zehanpuryu introduces Arcjec to the game and its purpose, pledging himself as their guide. He states that Arcjec is the Bard of Breath and urges them to find him again when they are stronger. He inserts himself within the Breath platform and changes the blank planet around them into the newly formed Land of Mirage and Monochrome.

As Arcjec looks around their new surroundings, they are approached by one of the planet's consorts: a bright, vibrant snake who directs them to a newly formed terminal by their denizen platform. The terminal allows Arcjec to access his game UI and Skorpe, where he finds messages from Taz and Ellsee both. He only answers the latter, and the two catch up. Ellsee admits that she knows more than she's previously let on, having seen the Game codes in a book that she has had her whole life. Arcjec closes the conversation by telling Ellsee to meet up with him when things are less hectic.

He then speaks with the multicolored snake consort, accidentally naming him "Guy". Guy tells Arcjec to prepare a weapon, as he is bound to face monsters on his journey, and Arcjec equips his scythe before taking the first steps of his journey on LOMAM.

After following the path for a while, Arcjec and Guy find a consort village up in flames, being ravaged by a powerful shape-shifting monster known as a Shifter. Two other consorts, Lady and Person, beg Arcjec to stop the monster before it burns down the entire town.

Overwhelmed, Arcjec freezes in place. He then finds himself in a featureless "mind space", greeted by younger version of himself: Kidjec. He tells Arcjec that it's okay to leave, that it isn't fair of the snakes to expect him to solve their problems. Arcjec, in turn, worries about his past choices and wishes they could do something for the people around them, since saving people was all they ever wanted to do when they were young.

Kidjec argues that acting on those impulses will only make him and those around him miserable, growing increasingly aggravated. He says that Arcjec should arcjec and that every single time he tries to help someone, all he does is hurt them. Arcjec falls to their knees, their nose bleeding profusely as the mindspace seems to fall apart at the seams.

Guy then snaps Arcjec back into reality by calling out to him, the troll having gone into a trance for the duration of his conversation with Kidjec. Finding his conviction renewed, Arcjec promises to protect his consorts and prepares for battle.

During , Arcjec is shown battling the Shifter, managing to defeat it with the usage of his survival ability and the help of his planet's Winds. Their consorts are elated, gifting them with a variety of crafting resources and directing them to their checkpoint near the town square.

On Prospit, Arcjec, Laivan and Albion's dream selves meet up and chat, Arcjec's dream self having woken up off-screen since the last time they were shown. The trio flies over the buildings as Dream!Laivan explains the concept behind their existence and what they're supposed to do for their players. After the discussion, he offers a grand tour of the dream moon, which Dream!Arcjec and Dream!Albion accept with varying levels of excitement.

Back on LOMAM, Arcjec arrives at the town square, where he is greeted by Metatron. As the built-in player guide to the Game, he explains several mechanics that will be vital to their progress, including the crafting system, the checkpoints and the gates that connect all of their planets together. He also gives Arcjec a welcome gift: a portable communicator they can use to keep in touch with the rest of their session. Metatron then coaches Arcjec through their first item creation: the Beats Taking The Subway scythe.

Further into their conversation, Metatron tells Arcjec that he needs to connect to the hero of life, Ellsee. Metatron comments on the two's relationship saying that they seem close, but Arcjec quickly brushes it off and changes the subject again. Metatron moves on saying that everything he's done with Arcjec is all he needs from him and that once the planets align then the initial stretch of Arcjec's journey will be complete. Metatron finally leaves in a puff of smoke, but not before he tells Arcjec that they're doing amazing so far.

Arcjec decides to open a new memo to make sure the rest of his friends are up to speed. He tells them that his DMs are now open, and that everyone should share their game progress so far, letting them know that he's already made it to his first checkpoint.

Taz is the first one to respond. They bicker for a short while, before she tells him that she's stuck and can't make any more progress without going over to his planet. This leads to the two having a conversation of reconciliation, in which Arcjec apologizes for ignoring her messages, saying that he wasn't trying to make her upset and only needed some breathing room. She accepts their apology, and they agree to work together from this point on.

Albion and Ellsee quickly follow in their responses, the latter informing the others of the purple-eyed demons that have started interfering with their entries. Albion believes that they're under someone's control, and that she briefly spoke to the man behind it. When Murrit and Calder join the conversation, it devolves into an argument about Murrit's attempted assassination of Ellsee through his boobdrones. Everyone is appalled by their actions, and Calder's further needling drives Murrit to drop their persona, withdrawing from the memo after telling everyone that they murrit. Albion asks if they should keep an eye on her, but Arcjec says that they already have their hands full as it is. He warns them that things are about to get messy and closes the memo.

Immediately afterward, Arcjec messages Ellsee, concerned about her apparent alliance with Calder. The conversation quickly devolves into lighthearted bickering as she brushes him off, and the two decide to get on with her entry by opening the Game's tutorial. On Arcjec's end, it has been updated with new information to reflect Ellsee's unique entry process: their job is to bring Repiton into The Medium by activating a series of pillars they are to place around the planet.

Through some nudging, Arcjec manages to get Ellsee to explain the most outlandish aspects of their past, including the supernatural qualities of their staff, their talking lusii and the magical book inherited from their ancestor. They're skeptical but curious, and Ellsee asks them to just trust her. He concedes, going back to their entry preparations before noticing that Possumdad is safe and sound by Ellsee's tent.

Arcjec asks if things are ready after Ellsee activates the portal leading to the first location. Arcjec informs her that he's going to go in order of what's closest to her, however, he also informs her that he doesn't know the exact coordinates and that there's no zoom option on his application. Ellsee voices her concerns on not wanting to go to Stronghold 21 due to the risk of becoming a walking target, most likely due to her blood color. Arcjec attempts to gives her advice, telling Ellsee to take a deep breath and move forward anyways. Arcjec ends up messing up the coordinates and Ellsee walks directly into the Stronghold square. which leads to Arcjec figuratively and literally beginning to beat himself up about being terrible at lying. Arcjec begins to ramble to himself in nervousness and annoyance as Ellsee panics, but quickly begins to focus again working with what he's got. Ellsee preforms magic tricks with her staff to keep the crowd distracted as Arcjec and drops the first pillar in the middle of the plaza. She quickly dives out of the way of the massive pillar before activating it and leaving rapidly. Ellsee tumbles back through the portal to her hive, exhausted. She decides to dance out her frustrations and Arcjec joins in with her. He tells her to pretend that never happened and to not mention it ever again. Ellsee asks if he had fun listening to her music which he reluctantly confirms that he did. They tell Ellsee that they'll make up for what they did with the last pillar.

Arcjec goes back to check on his hive, which is now a wreck with a hole going through the wall of his room and demons all around it. They move their cursor to go inside their messy hive, collectibles strewn all over the place. They grab a replica of their replica fetch modus to give Ellsee, in which she captchalogues her book, which unbeknownst to her results in a revised and corrupted version. She gets back to work with Arcjec after resting, with him promising to try his best to be there for her through the whole thing. Ellsee again repeats her nervousness, wondering everything was going to be okay, and Arcjec tells her that she's going to have to trust him.

During the events of , Arcjec and Ellsee continue to work together with him placing down the pillars and her going through the portals and activating them. The portals take her to the Northern Wastes, Kenede Spaceport, Bizkantine Ruins, and the Black Depths. All but one of the planets connect and Repiton makes the jump as the pillars activate and Arcjec sighs in relief as Ellsee's Denizen is released and she enters the Medium.

Post-EOA2
As Taz makes her first foray into Arcjec's planet, she stumbles across a scene from her youth, brought to life through LOMAM's mechanics: her, Ellsee, Laivan and Arcjec, back when they were children, on the day when Arcjec asked Taz if she thought they were going to be friends forever.

After she spends some time reminiscing, Arcjec finds Taz, snapping her out of the flashback. He greets her with a smile and reassures her that he's right there, and the two of them walk off together.

Act 3 Act 1
On the day following the Players' entry into the Medium, Arcjec reopens their old memo in order to keep the group up to date on their individual progress on their planets. Albion is the first to respond, claiming they met on Prospit not too long ago, but Arcjec doesn't seem remember it very clearly. Eventually, the group discusses the current situation on Repiton, the Harbingers and Mirthamaniacs storming Stronghold 21 and the state of chaos the planet's entry into the Game has caused. Throughout the memo, Arcjec tags Murrit multiple times, who only responds to fall back into the same deflective patterns. They then ban themself from it, much to Arcjec's exasperation.

Later, Ellsee is seen falling asleep in the snow on her planet after the exhausting task of entering the game. She appears to have a flashback of her and Arcjec in his hive, dancing around together. Arcjec bumps into Ellsee which leads to both of them falling on the floor laughing together. Arcjec says he's hungry which leads to Ellsee and him into the kitchen. Both Arcjec and Ellsee are seen talking about Ayala and Ari, two heads of Ellsee's lusus. Arcjec compliments Ellsee on how her new look is coming along and saying that she seems happier. The conversation turns into Ellsee complaining about how she can't go out and do things like how Arcjec can. Arcjec offers to try and find a way to sneak her out, but she refuses. Ellsee questions Arcjec about how he seems content with what is happening to the both of them. He pauses to think, but overall reassures her that everything is okay and that he'll always be here for her because they're family.

When Ellsee talks to White Noise, they discuss that in the past Arcjec acted differently towards everyone including Ellsee after her training. People tried getting to him, but he wouldn't budge. He was scared and angry, yelled and refused to listen to anything. However, Arcjec never changed his trolltag when they moved over to Skorp, so Ellsee found their Skorp attempted to act like a different person in order to contact him. White Noise has also attempted to speak to him, but it seems all Arcjec does is mumble to something and draw symbols. He doesn't know what's happened to Arcjec, but believes that something has gotten inside their head.

Personality and traits
At the start of the comic, Arcjec is a closed off and isolated person. They display a sardonic, irritable attitude toward most people, having little patience when dealing with others, and generally seeing things from a bleak perspective. They place a great deal of importance on the way things "should" be and how they work in the "real world", holding a jaded, disaffected philosophy on life. Paradoxically, he still is heavily invested in certain conversations, as evidenced by the amount of effort put into his responses whenever his friends try to contact him and the very fact that he leaves these channels of contact open.

This mindset is later shown to mask Arcjec's genuine attachment and care for his old life and friends. As the story progresses, they start being more open with the rest of the cast, apologizing for their unkind behavior and being more honest about their emotions. He makes an effort to reconnected with all of his friends, even taking charge in an unofficial "friendleader" capacity if the situation calls for it, and sharing moments of lighthearted banter with many of them in a sharp contrast to his biting interactions from before.

A good part of Arcjec's struggles are related to his mental health. The way other characters have described his falling out with the group, along with his own conversation about his emotional state with Kidjec, seem to indicate symptoms of a depressive disorder. Their habit of indulging in cans of Code Red - a strong antidepressant on Repiton - is further confirmation of the fact, having even been labelled an addiction in the comic's text.

Arcjec's past interests include the collection of pop culture memorabilia, such as Funko Pops and action figures of comic characters, playing SBVRPRPG's with his friends, and drawing. They also used to do cosplay, being depicted going to a Repitonian comic con with Taz in one of the photos in their album,

His blood is of a unique "corn syrup" color, a result of combination of normal Repitonian bronze blood and lime blood. This blood type and Arcjec's sigil were passed down to them by their ancestor, Thesal Voorat, after his attempted suicide and subsequent revival by Zekura Raines during The Renaissance.

Relationships
Taz Poemme
Arcjec and Taz have had a difficult relationship since the comic started. Stemming from their largely difficult past and supposedly unrealized romantic entanglements. There are many indications that their relationship was at one point unhealthy or unrequited, mutually or otherwise. After some kind of relationship-ending incident, Arcjec has since vehemently avoided any interaction with Taz for over two sweeps while Taz has since repeatedly tried to reach out to Arcjec. The resulting fallout deeply affected Arcjec, resulting a drastic change in personality and demeanor, while Taz felt abandoned by Arcjec.

When the two are forced to interact with one another during the events of the game, the two are constantly at each other's throats, barely being able to stay civil with one another, even for the sake of their mutual survival. Despite this, even though it is very slight, they did have a couple moments of levity and have been shown to complete their goals as a team rather efficiently all things considered.

During Post-EOA2 and Act 3 Act 1, they reconnect and bonded with each other once Taz arrives on Arcjec's planet, resulting in better communication and none of the hatred and lashing out from before. Any jabs or insults they throw at each other overall seem lighthearted banter typical of their contrasting personalities. Austin has also stated on Tumblr that they have "extremely red" feelings for each other, "miss each other but are too upset and stubborn to admit it", and "are in love and very upset at themselves all the time".

Laivan Ferroo
Despite Arcjec's base unfriendly demeanor, him and Laivan appear to have a pleasant friendship. They seem to have mutually requited yet unrealized pale crushes on each other. The two, along with Calder, used to play together as kids, but this appears to have ended or become rare as Arcjec grew distant and depressed.

After speaking in the newest memo in Act 3 Act 1, they still seem close in some sort of way, with Laivan remembering Arcjec's wriggling day (or as Laivan called it, a birthday) and asking him about it.

Ellsee Raines
Arcjec and Ellsee have a unclear relationship. Ellsee seems to value and trust him a great deal. One of her goals at the beginning of the comic was to finally meet him and introduce herself personally, though she is never able to bolster up the courage to actually do it, even when she's already at his hive.

Ellsee appears to care for Arcjec and worries for his wellbeing, even dropping all of her fear to run back to him in order to try and rescue him once she notices the meteor heading towards his hive. Despite this, Arcjec doesn't appear to know much about Ellsee at all; though he does seem to have an easier time speaking to her than the other trolls in his chat fodder. When Ellsee asks if she was likeable, Arcjec does actually try to give her advice (albeit poorly). In Act 3 Act 1 Arcjec and Ellsee are seen sharing a hive and call each other a family.

Biologically, Ellsee and Arcjec's relationship are the equivalent of human siblings, while their ancestors were in a matespritship. This would make their relationship closest to siblings, with their ancestors as their parents.

Murrit Turkin
Arcjec does not appear to be a big fan of Murrit. After reading through her memo, he believes that the game is a prank set up by him and the others to make fun of him and later notes during a conversation that he is a "slam jockey with more exposed RGB wires than common decency". When telling Zehanpuryu about what he believes should have happened post-entry, he admits that Murrit is a "friend" and that he is "actually way worse at explaining things than you or this game."

Arcjec seems to have known Murrit since he was six sweeps old, as seen in a flashback. They have talked enough for Arcjec to notice Murrit's tendencies, such as commenting that they "hate when they do that" after Murrit bans themself from a memo.

Jentha Briati
Arcjec mentioned Jentha during a conversation with Taz as they were working towards his entry. They seem to be relatively aware of each other's interests, and share some in the form of Funkos, but otherwise there is little information on their relationship.

Calder Kerian
Calder and Arcjec were once friends in their youth, but it seems that Arcjec is the only one who believes they can still be considered that.

In the memo in Act 3 Act 1, their interactions are tense and curt, though Arcjec attempts to be courteous as with the rest of the cast. Arcjec comments that Calder sounds "different now" and that "it feels like I don't know who I'm talking to." Arcjec also states that he has no qualms about banning Calder from the memo after telling him to knock it off when overstepping Taz's boundaries.

Later on, Arcjec confronts Calder privately in hopes of reintegrating him with the rest of the session. While the first half of the conversation is taut and Calder sticks to his usual mannerisms, the two wind up briefly quipping back and forth. In the end, Calder decides not to oppose Arcjec's supposed future pestering.

Serpaz Helilo
Serpaz and Arcjec seem to have been friends in their youth. There is not much information on their current relationship, but Serpaz seems to think of Arcjec as silly. They seem to not have any problems or tension with each other. When Arcjec cuts Serpaz off from rambling about her entry in the Act 3 Act 1 memo, he reassures her that he's taking her seriously and that she can talk later.

Albion Shukra
Albion and Arcjec seem to get along well. The two speak about their relationship when they were younger in the memo in Act 3 Act 1. Albion comments on how Arcjec was "one of the few people" who believed in her position when they were younger as well. Arcjec tells her that he thought it was an elaborate backstory she made for a character. Arcjec comments on how he would consistently tell her when they were younger that she would always be good at the game he played, and that she unfortunately never joined. She tells Arcjec how she was on Prospit with him but he doesn't remember, having had issues with his dreamself at the time.

Sova Amalie
There is little information on their relationship for the most part, however it is implied that they've talked in the past, with Sova bringing up in Act 3 Act 1 that she's read weirder from Arcjec after a particularly bizarre comment from him. She's also mentioned that as "(snide as he may be at times... at the end of the night, ARCJEC has been nothing but genuinely "real" with [her].)" They don't seem to have any problems with each other.

Occeus Coliad
There seems to be something going on between the two but there's not much information about their relationship. Occeus comments in Act 3 Act 1 that their past interactions have been more "charitable" and what Arcjec is doing is "weird". There seems to be some sort of tension between the two but not that much.

Trivia
*Arcjec's chat handle, arcjec, is a holdover from when they were younger, meaning "energetic comedian". "Animated" could also refer to cartoons, an interest Arcjec had in his youth.
Taz Poemme (short for Tazsia) known by her Skorpe handle, tazsia, is one of the trolls in Vast Error. Her associated alchemic sigil is Platinum and her horns are long and winding. She wears her symbol on the back of her vest. She is a deconstruction of the "Terrifying Cultish Murder Clown" fantroll archetype.

She is a well-known member of a wrestling-based cult known as Mirthamaniacs. Her chucklevoodoo holds the power of 'Intimidation' and is constantly active, shown through the purple glints in her pupils.

She was the second troll introduced and the second troll to enter the game.

Etymology
Her preferred name of 'Taz' is a reference to actual professional wrestler Tazz. "Poemme" may be a trollification of the word poem.

Biography
Early life
Taz was kept captive by Pozzol Broyer in the Mirthamaniacs under the statement that it was her destiny as Fortmistress Deadlock's descendant, being forced to kill other children as young as her in the ring and quickly becoming a crowd favorite. The wrestling announcer Vilcus Cendum came to empathize with Taz's struggles, offering to cover for her when she sneaked away to see her friends. Eventually, Taz decided to help Vilcus escape the Mirthamaniacs by faking his death and claiming to have killed him herself. Pozzol saw through the ruse, but offered her a deal: if she wanted to be able to come and go freely, she would have to "go pro" and commit to his orders, chaining herself permanently to the Mirthamaniacs. She took the bargain.

According to Arcjec, she ruined his life by doing something that ended up changing him into who he is today.

It can be inferred that this had something to do with her punching him in the face; when Arcjec began to run away crying from Taz's hive near the end of Act 1, his nose was bleeding rather heavily. When discussed, Taz shows a very stubborn and upset demeanor regarding the subject. However, you can see that she does have tears in her eyes in the panel if you look close enough. This proves that she does potentially regret the incident.

Pre-game
Shortly after Taz's introduction, she is messaged by Murrit, who tells her about the completion of a long-term project in the form of a game he wants everyone to play. Although Murrit's esoteric vernacular and vagueness frustrate Taz, she listens until Murrit tells her that she's going to have to get in contact with Arcjec, to which she outright refuses. Immediately after rejecting Murrit's proposal, she ceases messaging the seadweller.

Taz is then called away by the sound of her lusus, a large aquatic mink, that she has been forced to keep from the ocean due the increasingly toxic environment and mutated undersea fauna. The lusus had apparently killed a nameless, bronze-blooded troll who had been loitering near Taz's hive; it was now impaled on a stalactite peaking out of the ocean neighboring the hive. Taz takes a moment to be grateful the poor troll didn't fall into the ocean depths, but admits that they probably were still better off dying on the spikes than being found by Taz, who would have beaten them to death.

Taz then messages her moirail, Albion, going over the details of her interactions with Murrit. When Albion makes a cryptic (but insincere) remark about knowing the future, Taz asks Albion if she might know anything about it. Albion admits she does not what Murrit might be planning but knows that the night is of great importance, as it's the night Repiton would finally crumble and the night she was expected to save it. Taz, a staunch non-believer of Albion's prophetic destiny, dismisses the notion as bullshit.

Albion then repeats Murrit's sentiment and states that Taz really should try to reach out to Arcjec and finally try to work out their differences, instead of her merely trying to get his attention. Taz continues to be upset at the suggestion. Their conversation ends with Albion going over her destiny to merge with her lusus and salvage the remains of Repiton and the remaining troll species. Taz is left confused and concerned for her moirail. She later receives Murrit's memo pertaining to the game and its nature.

Taz is next seen after Murrit witnesses the release of the flower within in the Frog Temple that neighbors their hive. The resulting release unleashes The Game, which installs itself onto all the trolls' main computers. Taz, dismayed at how her computer has apparently been taken over by The Game (and has also rendered it unable to do anything aside from using Skorpe and the game itself), messages Murrit. She comes to the logical conclusion that Murrit tampered with her computer, which he denies. Murrit, frustrated at Taz's continued refusal to listen to them, simply tells her to reach out to Arcjec, and figure it out. Taz's game screen then switches to show Arcjec's hive. She sees Arcjec passed out on the floor covered in crumpled up paper.

When Arcjec finally awakens, Taz uses the game's cursor to drag Arcjec to his desk and look at his computer. The former friends bicker for some time before Taz forces Arcjec to look at the reality of the situation -- literally. When Arcjec dismisses Murrit's memo as an elaborate prank done by her and the seadweller, Taz retaliates by forcing him to look out his window and look at the meteor hurtling towards his hive. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Arcjec agrees to work with Taz, despite her constant antagonism.

The two reach an uneasy truce (although mutually agree to avoid each other once everything is said and done) and begin working to unravel the secrets of The Game. Arcjec realizes that the symbols they've been writing in their sleep are connected to the game, and they begins inputting the symbols into the game window. While he's doing this, Taz inputs a set of codes she received from Murrit's memo. This allows Taz access to a set of objects to place in and outside of Arcjec's hive. Proceeding outside, Taz places a series of pillars and an archway outside Arcjec's hive, and a mysterious chest in his room. Arcjec opens the chest, which unleashes a powerful gust of wind that sends him careering out of his room (destroying a wall in the process). The wind blows Arcjec right in front of the archway, which activates into some sort of portal. Taz uses the game cursor to push Arcjec into the portal while they're dazed and makes them enter The Medium. Meanwhile, the pillars around Arcjec's hive divert the oncoming meteor into Skaia, preventing its complete destruction.

After Arcjec's abrupt entry, Taz briefly asks them to send her a message to ensure her that they aren't dead. She then moves on to work with with Laivan on her own entry. She and Laivan struggle to figure out Taz's codes before they are both pulled into a memo made by Ellsee Raines, who attempts to share her own knowledge on the game that she uncovered through her own means. The memo quickly goes off the rails and it isn't long before Taz gets frustrated and leaves. Laivan chides Taz for burning bridges that might have helped with their entry process.

It is at this point that Taz's lusus, overwhelmed by its desire to return to its natural aquatic habitat due to the impending meteor, jumps into The Black Depths. Minkmom is very quickly eaten alive, to Taz's horror. This sends her chucklevoodoo and her rage into overdrive. This rage is punctuated by the fact that her lusus' blood reveals the location of the codes Taz needed, which had been in the rocks beneath the cliffs by her hive. Laivan asks if Taz is okay, and Taz makes it clear that she does not want to talk about it and that they should move on.

Taz and Laivan make quick work of the entry process, and when it comes time for Taz to unleash her denizen, she has Laivan put the rusted and locked cage, her Paragon Repository, in her Torture Fort so that she can go against it on her own terms. Despite trying everything in her power to destroy the cage, it having a lock with no key, she is forced to ask Laivan for help to fetch her Ferocity Weaver which she left outside in the rush. Laivan obliges and gives it to her, and Taz uses it to channel the full power of her rage and chucklevoodoo to destroy the cage and unleash her denizen. The release of her frustrations on the cage manages to calm her down. The denizen quickly enters the portal and Taz follows suit.

During the Game
[[File:Taz god tier.png|thumb|256x256px|Taz as a Pureself Sylph of Rage, as seen in [S] Arcjec: Enter.]]
Upon her entry, Taz is very quickly berated by Azbogah, the Denizen of Rage. Azbogah tears into Taz for being loud and obnoxious, a pain to be around, and a person undeserving of her aspect with very little capacity to change. After making it very clear that she does not like Taz, Azbogah ends the conversation to generate Taz's land.

In [S] Engage, she was seen exploring her land, Land of Growth and Gravity.

In [S] Ellsee: Enter., she was seen killing a monster using her strife specibus: macekind, as one of her consorts gave her a winding key.

As shown through Albion's visions when interacting with her lusus, Taz may eventually become her pureself. How this happens and through what method is currently unknown.

Personality and traits
Taz is a notably angry, headstrong and determined troll who tends to not think her actions through, instead just doing what she feels is best in the moment. This way of thinking has definitely caused her more harm than good, and has seemingly ruined or put a lot of strain on her relationships with the exception of Albion, who is somehow able to pacify her seething disposition. Not even Taz really knows how she does this.

She has a habit of getting belligerent verbally and physically, often throwing insults when provoked or annoyed. She doesn't seem to understand simple concepts in a conversation like jokes or banter, finding the concepts to be stupid and bothersome. She also hates to be interrupted when speaking, especially if it's about something she finds important. Taz isn't one to easily ask others for help, stubbornly doing tasks herself even if she doesn't know how to do it properly. She also refuses to admit when she is wrong and generally convinces herself that she's done a good job after the fact. This is heavily shown throughout her conversations with Arcjec in Act 1.

There are moments when she will yield to her conversation partner, though this is normally only if she finds the issue to be trivial or she is tired of dealing with it and knows her efforts will end up being futile in the end regardless.

Despite her many antagonistic and self-destructive traits, she consistently shows that -- true to her title as a Sylph -- she does have good intentions. It's clear that her aggression and frustration towards others is out of a desire to help those around her, albeit in her own caustic, hyper-aggressive manner. Additionally, due to her incredibly blunt nature, she isn't the type of person to act passively against others or do anything in an underhanded manner, and considers people with those traits a waste of time.

Taz is very sensitive about her full name, and is easily set off when people bring it up. She is also a passionate devotee of the Mirthamaniacs cult, being a major contender in the ring herself. She collects and studies torture devices and weaponry in her hive.

Relationships
Albion Shukra
Albion is in a moraillegence with Taz, although their relationship appears to occasionally fluctuate into an auspisticism with Occeus, where Albion acts as the mediating party. Albion is notable among Taz's close relationships in that she is the only troll who is able to placate Taz's aggression, with Taz being outright gentle and thoughtful when interacting with Albion. Taz herself isn't sure how Albion manages to do this. Because of this, Taz has stated that she finds Albion to be a "special kind of scary" and "perfect".

Taz has plainly stated that she does not share Albion's religious beliefs and more or less thinks of them to be horseshit. This is likely due to Taz's own beliefs within the Mirthamaniacs.

Arcjec Voorat
Arcjec and Taz have had a difficult relationship since the comic started. Stemming from their largely difficult past and assumedly unrealized romantic entanglements. It is believed that their relationship was at one point abusive or unrequited; mutually or otherwise. After some kind of relationship-ending incident, Arcjec has since vehemently avoided any interaction with Taz for two sweeps. Taz has since desperately tried to reach out to Arcjec. The resulting fallout has evidently deeply affected Arcjec, resulting a drastic change in personality and demeanor, while Taz felt abandoned by Arcjec.

When the two are forced to interact with one another during the events of the game, the two are constantly at each other's throats, barely being able to stay civil with one another even for the sake of their mutual survival. Despite this, even though it is very slight, they did have a couple moments of levity and have been shown to complete their goals as a team rather efficiently all things considered.

Taz repeatedly shows that she does still care deeply for Arcjec, having spent so much trying to rebuild their relationship and her clear unease when she is forced to interact with him on less-than-favorable conditions. This is further indicated by her efforts to save him during his entry and how she messages him to check on his well-being post-entry, despite her being able to see him through her UI. Austin has also stated on Tumblr that they have "extremely red" feelings for each other, "miss each other but are too upset and stubborn to admit it", and "are in love and very upset at themselves all the time".

Murrit Turkin
Taz is one of the few trolls to not be immediately put off by Murrit's scummy, perverted facade, to the point that she's actually somewhat fond of the sea-dweller. Despite this, Taz will not put up with any of Murrit's bullshit and is ready to drop his ass whenever he's not being helpful. Murrit on the other hand enjoys toying with Taz and her temper, but does try his best to actually be useful to her once in a while as well. Though he also has his tipping point and has left Taz on her ass just as badly as she has done to him.

This nicer relationship is however, undercut by his constant mention and nicknaming of Taz's breasts in their conversations -- something that Taz surprisingly doesn't seem to get onto him about as one might expect.
Minkmom
Taz often had to fight against her lusus and its natural instinct to return to the sea, due to The Black Depths being extremely toxic and filled to the brim with deadly, multi-eyed and carnivorous sea life. In-fact, Taz acquired much of her fight skills early on due to having to fight Minkmom so much. Taz is understandably devastated when Minkmom succumbs to its natural instincts when fearful of the oncoming meteor and jumps into the ocean when Taz's back is turned, going into a rage as a result.

Azbogah
Upon meeting her, Taz is immediately critical and distrustful of the denizen of Rage, before the Denizen interrupts Taz to speak her mind.

Azbogah deeply despises Taz. From the moment of their first meeting, Azbogah makes her disdain of the Sylph of Rage crystal clear, stating that she considers her player to be: entirely unfit for her role, an insufferable hypocrite who is incapable of change, and a burden on her friends and loved ones. Nonetheless, Azbogah is duty-bound to serve Taz as her denizen, and owes her a debt of gratitude for releasing her.

The two appear to be very similar in demeanor, as both of them are very wrathful and vindictive beings. By virtue of this and by being two halves of the same whole, Azbogah might be guilty of having the very same flaws that she claims makes Taz unfit to be a Rage player, possibly indicating that the Denizen of Rage herself might be a hypocrite.

Occeus Coliad
The two appear to have been involved in a now-ended black relationship with one another. It appears that Taz occasionally fluctuates into the ashen quadrant with Occeus, with Albion acting as mediator. This would indicate some on-going enmity between the two.

Ellsee Raines
It is implied that Ellsee harbors black feelings for Taz. When Arcjec mentions Taz to Ellsee in a conversation, Ellsee seems to be put-off by being reminded of the jamblood, and later states her determination to prove her worth to the others, despite what Taz or Murrit might say. Similarly, Taz very quickly loses patience with Ellsee (and by proxy, everyone else) when she is pulled into Ellsee's memo, but appears to be especially impatient with Ellsee in particular.

Laivan Ferroo
Taz does not enjoy speaking to Laivan very much due to their naturally opposite personalities. She is put off by his simple demeanor and nonchalance, finding it frustrating especially when his attention is away from the subject at hand. She compares talking to him to talking to a brick wall.

Laivan seems to be more or less neutral towards Taz, and generally lacks the words to describe her, but isn't above getting frustrated with her when she is being unreasonable, as most people are.

Trivia
* 'Pernicious' means to have a harmful effect on someone, most often in a gradual or subtle way. 'Overkill' is commonly used as a term of excessive action or treatment. When combined, the two terms form a reference to Taz's history with Arcjec, destroying something about him in a manner that has left him a changed person to how he was at 6 sweeps. It can also refer to her brutal interest in combat, especially with her torture device collection.
* Taz's pet rock "The Rock" is obviously named after Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson who she actually has a poster of in her respiteblock, along with Vince McMahon (in his famous 'IT'S ME AUSTIN' speech, no doubt as a reference to austinado) and Hulk Hogan.
* Taz likes to eat steak and presumably other forms of meat raw.
* Taz does, in fact, drink Faygo, which to Mirthamaniacs is known as 'Pinfall Fuel'. Her favorite flavor is Peach.
* The wrestler Taz murdered in her first Fort Match and reassembled with concrete is famed WWE all-star Kane.
* Based on her blood color, aspect, and dream moon, her true sign on Alternia would be Capricorn, Sign of the Capricious.
*Taz runs a Filler account under the username razzmatazz.
* She is the tallest of the main twelve, Standing at 6’5
Sabine Berare is a secondary troll in Vast Error. His associated alchemic sigil is Reverberation.

In Sabine's trollodex entry, his bullet points are listed as:
* uhm, akshually
* hey, hey you. yeah, you! you know what kind of frequency this is?
* already knows the answer

Etymology
His last name comes from 'reverberate'. His first name is a Dutch feminine name meaning 'peacemaker'.

Biography
empty

Personality and Traits
Sabine is employed as a junior designer for Corporate, designing all sorts of graphics for clients (ranging from logos for departments/products to Skorpe themes). He almost exclusively employs bright neon colors in his work, a decision that's every bit as intentional as it is eye-searing. His true passion, however, lies in audio production. Sabine enjoys music (dubstep in particular) and listens to it incredibly loudly and without consideration for the comfort of others.

Sabine is egotistical, intellectual, and obsessed with the idea of achievement and accomplishment. He loves being better than other people, and he thrives on feeling superior in whatever way he can by frequently pointing out minor ways he performs better than others.

His survival ability allows him to control sound waves, which allows him to do anything from making his voice echo to amplifying sounds around him to honing in on specific conversations in a crowded, busy room. He claims he's able to use his powers to hear a pin drop in the Black Depths, though the accuracy of this claim has yet to be confirmed.

Relationships
Noxious
Sabine is briefly implied to have been contacting Noxious in Snowbound Blood Volume 8, in which the Skorpehandle that Noxious uses appears on Sabine's chat window. How they interact with each other is currently unknown, but Sabine refuses to acknowledge that he's contacted Noxious when questioned about his handle appearing on his computer screen until Secily pushes further.

It's implied that Noxious tried to bring down Sabine's confidence, as Sabine appears to get vulnerable and upset while talking about him briefly.

Myarty Angelo
Myarty was designed by Ciro and is known as Sabine's moirail.

Omledu Fromaj
Omledu was designed by Ciro and is known as Sabine's kismesis. He was most likely based off of Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory in contrast to Sabine being partially inspired by Mandark from the same series.
Trivia
* His would-be classpect is Prince of Time.
* Sabine's character contains numerous references to characters played by actor Eddie Deezen.
** Sabine's second bullet point references the unnamed Know-It-All Kid from The Polar Express, who asks the protagonist if he knows what kind of train he's in. He also asks Secily what kind of monorail they're on in his Snowbound Blood route.
** Sabine's third bullet point references Mandark's introductory episode in Dexter's Laboratory, where Mandark was smart enough to know the answers to questions before they were even asked.
** On his trollodex reveal post on Tumblr, the tags state that Sabine canonically sounds and laughs like Mandark. Sabine has Mandark's signature laughing pose in his trollodex image as well.
** Raurou mentioned that Sabine had demanded he perform a literal song and dance number before he considered it acceptable for consumption. This is a reference to the Hot Chocolate sequence from The Polar Express, and is perhaps a similar musical number to what Raurou had to perform.
* He is canonically Autistic
Crytum Lydian is a secondary troll in Vast Error. His associated alchemic sigil is Electrum.

He was first revealed in the February 24th Trollodex reveal, alongside Rypite Koldan. His bullet points were:
* a technological genius
* body is now 70% soda, 0% sleep
* just like one of his Repitonian animes!

Etymology
Crytum comes from a combination of the Latin words for gold and silver, chryseum and argentum. Lydian comes from the Lydians, the people of the Iron Age of Lydia, who were some of the first people to use gold and silver currency, tying back to Crytum's sigil, Electrum (an alloy of gold and silver).

Biography
Before Snowbound Blood
Prior to the events of Snowbound Blood, Crytum was in an abusive moiraillegiance with an unnamed troll. During a fight, his ex-moirail fell into the ocean and never resurfaced leaving Crytum unsure of his fate. After that event he began transitioning, gained an emotional support lusus and met The Boys. Aumtzi would later attempt to blackmail Crytum over his ex-moirail but was unsuccessful.

During Snowbound Blood
Crytum's skill with computers leads Secily to his apartment, beginning the events of his Snowbound Blood route. He tries to track Aumtzi's location by tracking his IP address, but only succeeds in doing so shortly before the start of Volume 11. During Necron and Secily's attempt to confront Aumtzi, he acts as their information handler under the codename 'Lettuce'.

During Vast Error
Crytum stays in contact with Necron and Oricka to keep track of the cultist's activities and the fallout of the Snowbound Blood case1476. When Necron discovers that the Harbingers of the Alpocalypse are planning an attack during Sestro's inauguration ceremony, he and The Boys race to Stronghold 21 to try and prevent the massacre. After the battle, they retreat to Eidolic Acres1633.

Personality and Traits
Crytum is a meek, polite troll with great interest in anime and videogames, particularly the show Revolutionary Girl Outena for inspiring him to fight back against his ex-moirail, and feels hurt when others look down on his interests. He is trying to move on from his abusive moiraillegiance, and when others ask if he is searching for another, he is annoyed at the assumption that he needs one. Crytum questions whether he's actually ever felt pale attraction towards anyone and expresses disinterest in finding another.

Relationships
Glomer Hicner
The two are matespirits. When Crytum first moved to the Stronghold he found himself lost and attempted to fill the emptiness with work and hobbies and he credits Glomer for being able to anchor him. In addition, both had previously troubled moirallegiances.

Sabine Berare
Sabine is Crytum's upstairs neighbor, a goldblood that tends to make a lot of racket and bother Crytum.

He was first revealed in the February 24th Trollodex reveal, alongside Crytum Lydian. His bullet points were:
"Rypite" is an anagram of "pyrite", referring to his sigil. "Koldan" is a shortened version of "kolchedan", an old word for "pyrite".

Biography
Thaumatrope: Syzygy
Rypite is shown to be a little bit younger than he is now. Having a vault nearby his hive inscribed with his sigil, Sirage and her previous tomb-raiding group were keen on getting close to him in order to pillage the contents.

He is shown to be a very proactive host, if a little weak-willed, during the ensuing party in which he himself is introduced. He notes that most of the people there just invited themselves, but that it was okay, because they're all having fun. Sirage ends up pulling him outside to get away from the rowdy guests and after their conversation, ends up giving Rypite her trolltag.

The next day, Sirage comes by unannounced, just as Rypite was busy cleaning up the remnants of the party. Despite the inconvenient timing, he simply puts the remaining odds and ends into his captalogue, more than happy to spend time with a new friend. They proceed to watch a movie together that he's incredibly enthusiastic about, much to Sirage's annoyance, and she ends up leaving during the climax due to his energy. Afterward, upon meeting again, Rypite is shocked to be met with the offer of a moirailagence despite how little they've known eachother. Upon acceptance, Sirage proceeds to move in with him and Cepros.

The next time they meet, Rypite asks about their tomb-raiding career. Cepros is keen not to have him tag along but Sirage is quick to include him anyway- Picking a tomb they haven't finished exploring yet, where Rypite successfully clears a single puzzle for a diamond Sirage quickly pockets.

As they venture further down, they run into a group of presumed archaeologists that work for art museum owner Phoene, and Sirage's incriminating picture gets taken as she flees the scene. That picture is used against her as Rypite attempts to help her get an honest job, working for the very person she stole from.

Despite the humiliation, Rypite convinces her to keep trying to live an honest life in a frankly touching sequence within the comic. They share a hug before heading home, and the first sparks of a red crush ignite.

After a few failed attempts, they finally land a trial-run of a management position within a coding company with Rypite smooth-taking the elderly hiring director. They're given a project, and a team, and things start to look up for them both as the team puts together a rudimentary outline. At home, after a productive day at work, Rypite is offered to sleep with Sirage in his borrowed recuperacoon. Things heat up as the two begin to kiss before Rypite is scared off by the implications.

As the deadline grows closer and the team struggles along, tension begins to build at home. Sirage, enraged by Cepros' blatant disregard for their roommate, kicks all their friends out of the hive before going off. She directly confronts Cepros and Rypite about the blatant exploitation going on, and he confesses that he knows full well, and that it's okay for him to pretend that it's real. Cepros then turns the narrative onto Sirage, revealing her initial plans, and prattling on about how he can't be certain she isn't using him either. His mind goes blank as Cepros blatantly asks if he can even trust her not to stab him in the back, and he can't formulate a response, leading Sirage to storm out and disappear.

Without Sirage, the project begins to fall apart. Despite his attempts, he can't get his team to work together, and the deadline looms ahead with only wices to spare and both their positions on the line. She returns in the nick of time, though, with the two sharing a heartfelt exchange about the situation, ending with them both crying in eachothers arms- Despite Sirage claiming that she totally isn't. Much to his relief, her return helps the team get back on track, and by the time the deadline hits they have a mostly functional beta build of their program. Despite the rough edges, the client approves further development, and the two finally secure their jobs.

Outside, Sirage gives him a gift; A microphone to be the radio host he always wanted to be. Feeling bad for not having anything in return, he takes her hands and kneels down, pouring his heart out to his beloved in an emotional scene before they finally head home.

Snowbound Blood
In Volume 2, Rypite is visited by chief regulator Secily in regards to the Snowbound Blood case. Despite the nerve wracking experience of being visited by essentially a judge, jury, and executioner, he remains friendly and cordial, answering most of her questions with a pep in his step.

Secily considers crossing him off the suspect list fairly quickly before stumbling into a question he doesn't respond well to. He gets visibly nervous, outright trying to change the subject, before she finally breaks him down. It turns out that his grand 'crime'... Was simply neglecting his duties to give pep talks to his matesprit.

Rypite is swiftly no longer considered a suspect.

Afterwards, Rypite clears his board of important notes and sketches to make room for a brainstorm session to help Secily, despite the approaching deadline for them.

Personality and Traits
Rypite is good at making an impression, with the voice of an anchorman and the charisma of a successful businessman. He comes off as a stereotypical "Cool Boss," being very upbeat and empathetic. His level of empathy could be considered extreme, however, mourning the loss of inanimate objects as if they were people. This level of empathy can also interfere with his job, inspiring him to temporarily skip work to console his matesprit or erase important work near a deadline to make room for a brainstorming session with Secily.

Rypite's mind seems to be all over the place, coming up with various ideas at once and having to write most on colorful post-it notes as not to forget.

He lives his life through motivational speeches and sayings, frequently quoting (and misquoting) inspirational phrases to others and himself. He also has a love for wordplay and dad jokes. He generally aims to keep conversations light and friendly, going so far as to stall for time when he feels as if he isn't going to like what he's about to hear.

Rypite is incredibly passionate about practically every aspect of his life, including but not limited to his job, his soulmates, his lusus, his friends, weather and outer space. He has a hard time choosing favorites, as they all rank rypite

Relationships
Sirage Feltri
Sirage is Rypite's matesprit, and the two are a very happy couple. Rypite adores Sirage to pieces and gushes about her frequently, keeping pictures of her in his office and on his Skorpe theme. Despite fearing the consequences of doing so, he was more than happy to come back from work breaks late to spend time comforting and encouraging her while she was stressed.

Secily Iopara
During her investigation, Rypite was one of the many trolls investigated, and also one of a good few to attempt to offer assistance, wiping away all of his work to try and help. Not much headway was made during their brainstorming session, but the gesture was appreciated nonetheless.

For a brief moment, he was considered a possible suspect, but in the end the only secret he had was occasionally taking longer on breaks to offer Sirage support.

Cepros Xirong
In Thaumatrope: Syzygy, Rypite and Cepros have a complicated and toxic relationship built on Cepros' exploitative tendencies and general disregard for the people around them. On Rypite's end, he knew there were no good intentions from the start, but went along with it anyway to feel like someone 'cool' actually valued him. On Cepros' end, being close with Rypite ensured a nice place to crash and someone to essentially do their bidding out of hospitality. Of course, the following red advances angering Sirage was also a bonus.

Jentha Briati, also known by her Skorpe handle jentha, is one of the main characters in Vast Error. Her associated alchemic sigil is Tin, and she is a deconstruction of the "useless" fantroll archetype.

Jentha was believed to have been born without any survival abilities typical to yellowbloods, a fact that has contributed to her general feelings of helplessness and vulnerability.

She was the twelfth troll introduced and the ninth troll to enter the game.

Biography
Early life
Jentha's early life is revealed in a flashback segment in Act 3 Act 1. Jentha was kept in high-level containment due to her extremely powerful survival ability, which allowed her to discharge and manipulate nuclear energy inherent to her cells1911. At an early age, it discharged automatically, prompting the reduplication cavern staff to keep her separate from other trolls her age, something that The Principal sought to make up for in some way1920.

Jentha met Dismas Mersiv during his time in school after he was sent to detention for a fight with Murrit Turkin. Instead of being connected with a teacher to write an apology note, the Principal connects Dismas with Jentha and they have 1926, most likely the first Jentha has ever had with a troll her own age at the time, which she begins by correcting Dismas's typing errors. The two grew close over these messages, leading Dismas to recruit Albion Shukra in a mission to get Jentha out of her mould and take her to the playgrounds. On their way, it is revealed that Murrit had been tailing them the whole time, taking necessary steps to ensure they weren't caught by acting from the shadows. He uses this as leverage to convince them to let him join them, to which they all reluctantly agree.

After playing for some time, Murrit pushes Dismas off a construct, greatly upsetting Jentha and causing her survival ability to explode due to her lack of control over her emotions1968. This causes a massive incident that results in the deaths of several students and staff at the hands of a skulltitan, whom Jentha inadvertently grants power with her nuclear energy. Dismas distracts the lusus from attacking Jentha in a show of grubhood bravery as the Principal arrives to resolve the situation. Dismas is sent off to the dunes with the skulltitan through an application of Space alchemy, and Jentha is put to sleep by another type of alchemy.

Following the incident, priority was set on repressing Jentha's survival ability as hard as possible, leaving her severely traumatized and disabled (eyesight issues, a stutter, debilitating anxiety and depression). Once she reached six sweeps, she was sent off to live in an apartment in Stronghold 21 before deciding to instead wander the world for anywhere to fit in. She settled in the utopian ruins of The Renaissance, the same place turned to ash by her ancestor sweeps prior, where she meets a metamorphier lusus that takes her in. The lusus weaves a cocoon for themself shortly after, and is yet to emerge.2051

Jentha, all alone with nothing left, had already resigned herself to the fact that she was going to die alone before Dismas was led right to her by Murrit under the guise of an assassination mission. From then on, the two wn, entering a moirallegiance.

Act 2
Jentha's first spoken line happens during one of Ellsee Raines's memos, ellsee448, when Jentha accidentally sends the letter "h" into the chat. The two have a humorous exchange in which Jentha silences and unsilences herself multiple times, before she finally bans herself from the memo altogether.

After her proper introduction, Jentha is interrupted from watching a stream when Occeus Coliad messages her, seeking advice about his personal woes. Later, she is brought into a Skorpe call with Dismas and Murrit after her moirail's altercation with his lusus, Murrit having sent her into a panic by claiming that Dismas was dead. Dismas calms Jentha down and Jentha berates Murrit for their behavior as Murrit loads Dismas onto an ore-powered minecart to get him back to his hive in time to be their server player.

Later, Jentha tries to assist Sova Amalie with her entry, whacking the inky creatures who are harassing her with some of the Game's pillars in an effort to drive them away. Panicked, Jentha messages Occeus to ask for help , but her attention is drawn away before he can respond: a glowing light shines behind her, taking the form of Af, the Denizen of Light, much to her starstruck wonder and the annoyance of White Noise, who bemoans the denizen's tendency to "go off script".

During the events of , Jentha is led through utopian ruins as Af sets up her portal for her. They activate it, prompting Jentha to follow, and she is taken into her fully formed land, a planet comprised of grassy fields with yellow flowers and bright blue skies. Her platform and talk with her denizen are not shown.

Act 3 Act 1
Jentha wanders her planet only to find no possible means of progress, 1895. They talk at length about Jentha's land and the fact that it was designed with no way to progress intentionally, as Jentha's quest will be much different from everyone else's. Af plans to give Jentha the final land quest task right out the gate and allow Jentha to achieve self-actualization much sooner than everyone else.

Af proceeds to remark on the traumatic nature of Jentha's past, something she had seemingly either forgotten about or chose to pretend never happened, which segues directly into her recollecting her 1907.

Personality and Traits
Jentha is a reserved and anxious troll who lives closed off to the outside world, being described by White Noise as wn. Her lost survival ability coupled with the absent nature of her lusus have left her with a persistent feeling of helplessness and uselessness. Nonetheless, she tends to be bitter and insulting when talking to most people, possibly as a way to overcompensate for her anxiety - a fact which she's shown being regretful of on certain occasions. Jentha often tries to be as unpleasant to talk to as possible when she wants to be left alone, which is a fairly common occurrence, as Jentha has thin patience for people that are not Dismas.

She collects and cares for "outcast" toys, notably a collection of furbies. Due to having a lot of time to herself, she also has great skill in board games, along with a selection of the best movies made. She seems to harbor a "nursery" of toys for kids and other nostalgic interests.

Relationships
Dismas Mersiv
Dismas and Jentha are in a moirallegiance, and their relationship is notably Jentha's only known committed relationship. Despite being anxiety-ridden and constantly struggling to get her thoughts into words, she is much calmer when in Dismas' presence, and he is very good at intuitively understanding her feelings. The two are very close and openly worry for the other's well being.

Dismas also provides for Jentha's material needs, as her anxiety has stopped her from being able to find a source of income on her own, a fact she is extremely grateful of.

Murrit Turkin
Jentha is often frustrated and distrustful of Murrit, due to his frequent antagonization of Dismas. She finds them to be obnoxious and annoying, but seems to have no problem with putting her foot down on behalf of her moirail when she feels the situation calls for it, outright insulting and calling the seadweller out whenever they act particularly terrible. Despite this, she doesn't seem to truly hate Murrit, thinking of her as an overbearing "stupidhead" rather than a malicious person.

Occeus Coliad
Occeus is Jentha's server player. She doesn't care much for him, having told him to go "jump off a cliff" when he came to her in distress. Occeus doesn't seem to pick up on the fact she's intentionally rude toward him, interpreting her snide comments as genuine, heartfelt advice. Despite her demeanor, he seems to put trust into Jentha, and when under enough stress, Jentha admits that she needs his help and feels guilty about being rude toward him before.

Sova Amalie
Sova is Jentha's client player. Not much is known about their relationship, though they have cooperated during Sova's entry process. Sova has shown concern for Jentha even when being brushed off, and Jentha has snidely referred to Sova as jentha.

Trivia
*Jentha is canonically asexual, as confirmed by the Vast Error official Tumblr.
*Being a Derse dreamer, a yellowblood and a Hero of Light, Jentha's would-be extended zodiac sign is Gempia, Sign of the Perspicacious.
*Jentha runs a Filler account under the username grembox.
**The account uniquely does not list pronouns, whereas everyone else's accounts do (Calder's Sideline account being the exception). Additionally, Jentha's Trollodex card lists "[PENDING APPROVAL]" next to her pronouns, implying an intentional lack of clarity on Jentha's part.
*The name of Jentha's furby from when she was a child, Toh-Loo-Kah, is furbish for "Like Me"
*Jentha accidentally 'foreshadowed' Dismas and Albion's future transition by immediately critiquing their given names. Time will tell if this is a genuine sixth sense.
* She is implied to be Autistic
Sestro Enthal is a secondary troll in Vast Error. His associated alchemic sigil is Sublimation.

In Sestro's trollodex entry, his bullet points are listed as:
* overthinks before he acts
* created to carry dead weight
* he's ready for a change, but the world isn't

Etymology
The word 'sestro' means relating to or located on the left side. This may connect his analytical nature, as the left brain is believed to be associated with logical thought. Sestro also can mean inauspicious or ominous, or 'fate' and 'habit' if used as a noun. 'Enthal' when translated from German, means 'contained'.

Biography
Sestro Enthal is the heir to Corporate, destined to take control and lead Repiton. He was created after the Executive's health declined greatly.

In Snowbound Blood
Sestro was first seen inside of his office, a phone held to his ear as he nods along to Calder's rant of his late shipments. As Secily shoots the window of his own office, he ends his call with Calder and turns off the alarm. He then gives her an assignment to retrieve the cargo that contains The Vivifier's blood that was stolen by her followers.

He also instructs her to capture the culprits behind the assassination of the three trolls that was in charge of delivering it to the Corporate, counting on her to accomplish her given assignment.

After Snowbound Blood
He was first seen in his office, staring at something with his matesprit, Hamifi, was standing behind him.

Later, after the chaos that Ellsee caused at the Stronghold 21, he and Hamifi stared at the large pillar in the middle of the site as he began stressing himself out, asking her if he's going to be alright after he unlocked his alchemical potential, after the stronghold P3P-51 meltdown and with Secily during the Snowbound Blood events.

He also tells her that he doesn't want to be in a coma again as he asks her again if he's going to be okay. Hamifi helps him get inside the building after telling him that the recent event that has occurred in the Stronghold 21 will distract the trolls for a couple of hours.

As they take the elevator, he stares at the wall of the elevator as Hamifi tells him that all that the things he had witnessed before wasn't his fault to begin with and questioned him as to why he hasn't been looking at her.

He begins telling her about the discussion he had with Rodere as he once again mentions to her that he isn't ready to take over the Repiton Corporation as well as being the leader to the approximately 36,000 trolls that are currently living in Stronghold 21. Hamifi tells him that he could always give away the position of being the heir to the Repiton Corporation and both of them can retire to the countryside, though both of them knew they weren't okay with it.

As she asked him whether or not he still wants the position, the elevator opens as they walk down the walls, making their way to The Executive's office.

Personality and Traits
He tends to get stressed easily and is capable of sending himself into a coma.

Relationships
Hamifi Hekrix
Hamifi is his bonded matesprit. She and Sestro are stated to be literally made for each other.

Rodere
Rodere commissioned his hatching after the Executive's health declined. She's implied to have taken care of Sestro during his comas.

The Executive
Sestro is the direct descendant of the Executive who was absent for most of Sestro's upbringing.

Turnin Kaikai
Turnin is the moirail of Sestro Enthal. It has been stated that they have never missed an event Sestro has hosted.
Husske Mayzee is a secondary troll in Vast Error. Their associated alchemic sigil is Arsenic.

In Husske's trollodex entry, their bullet points are listed as:
* child of the corn
* just a little preacher. that is all. they cannot change this.
* wind between cornstalks sounds a lot like static

Etymology
Husske comes from "husk", as in "husks of corn". Similarly, Mayzee could come from either "maze" as in "corn maze", or "maize", another word for corn itself.
